ADA Truncated Dome Warning Systems

The Americans with Disability Act (ADA) requires the application of tactile detectable warning surfaces on walking surfaces to warn visually impaired pedestrians of hazards in their line of travel, such as curb ramps or boundaries between the street and sidewalk. Truncated dome detectable warning systems have repeatedly shown to be the most effective design; they have been required on transit platform edges since 1991 and at curb ramps since July 2001.
Quality Sealants specializes in the installation of Tactile Warning System made of highly flexible polymer-modified cement resins integrated with fiberglass mesh reinforcement. The system is the most flexible way to meet the ADA requirements for detectable warning systems.
